Literature
A World All Its Own
Emotion filled pleas fall on deaf ears
A world that has turned their backs
Salty, hot tears drip down bruised cheeks
A society that has become blind
Dysfunctional families try to piece themselves together
A puzzle that has been mixed up and lost after time
Mummified bodies of young children hidden in chests
A silent place within a neighborhood where no one cares
A toddler who will eat herself after time, a crib becomes a cage
Unknown to the outside world, will never see the light of day
Strapped to the plastic potty chair in the darkness, roaches crawl over her skin
A death that will not be prevented, a murder that will go unnotice
